Perhaps your boss motivates you, pushes you to make the best of yourself, and helps you achieve your objectives. Or, as is the case for some salesmen, you work under a manager who is weighed down by a mountain of responsibilities or who perhaps has not yet realized the importance of motivating his team.
In either of these two cases, whether your direct environment is favorable or not, your ability to channel all your energy into achieving your goals is a highly personal matter. For the salesman, exposed on a daily basis to the challenge of convincing clients and potential clients, the ability to personally motivate oneself is fundamental - as is the ability to work at your powers of reasoning.
This chapter encompasses all of the above and focuses on two additional concepts:
- Casting aside negativity and adopting behaviors that foster motivation
- Generating, maintaining, and riding the wave of positivity
